Activity Overview

This activity will provide participants with important up-to-date information regarding the latest findings in HIV epidem-iology, comorbidities, HIV therapies for treatment-naïve and -experienced patients, and strategies for managing virologic failure and ART-related adverse effects.
 

Target Audience

 
This activity is designed for health care practitioners (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses) involved in the management of HIV patients.
 

Educational Objectives

• Determine the impact recent developments in the field of HIV research, including epidemiology, transmission, access/linkage to care, and updates to treatment guidelines, will have on patients in care
• Integrate the latest data from clinical trials regarding the use of existing and novel antiretroviral agents into current clinical paradigms to improve HIV treatment outcomes
• Implement strategies, based in new data on HIV- and ARV-associated comorbidities, to treat and address the whole-health care needs of patients with HIV
