Most recently, Jim has been developing and implementing live and enduring CME programs
for a variety of audiences in a variety of media in such therapeutic areas as HIV/AIDS,
viral hepatitis (HBV/HCV), anticoagulant therapy, and respiratory medicine.
With over 30 years experience in continuing medical education, prior to his position
at HealthmattersCME, Jim has served as Director of Content Development and Editorial
Services at ContinuingEdge, Inc. (NYC), VP, Director of Content Development and
Editorial Services at Science and Medicine (NYC), Discovery East (Stamford, CT),
and ProHealth.(NYC). Prior to that Jim served as VP, Creative Director at Carlson
Healthcare, Audio Visual Medical Marketing (NYC), and Health Learning Systems (Little
Falls, NJ). In each of these positions, Jim has been responsible for program research,
content design and development, and writing and creative Programs include a variety
of multi-media learning systems and university-associated CME programs.
Jim has extensive experience in a variety of therapeutic areas. Previous experience
includes designing and developing audience specific programs in pain management,
urology, women’s health, rheumatology, cardiology, gynecology, and pediatrics. Jim
is also experience in designing programs for a variety of live or archived applications
in a host of media applications (print, video, CBT, web-based programs, podcasts,
audio/slide programs) and combinations of media.
Jim is a recipient of a BA degree in Psychology/English Literature at the University
of Windsor, Windsor, ON, and an MA degree in Media Studies at New York University,
New York, NY.
